Dear Authors,

We kindly inform you that within the framework of the Elsevier and Wiley agreements, the quotas that can be used for Open Access support in the publishers journals available in the EISZ consortium in 2024 have been depleted.

In the case of publications being submitted after 18 November 2024 and still accepted in 2024, only those published in the SJR Q1-classified journal will receive OA support. (Of course, papers submitted before 18 November 2024 that meet the usual conditions will remain supported).

In the case of publications accepted between the exhaustion of the quota and 31 December 2024, in contrast to the usual process, the corresponding author (or administrative author) receives a notification from the publisher regarding the exhaustion of the quota when the article is accepted, offering that they can withdraw the publication and submit it to another journal, or they finance it from other sources. In such a case, please contact our OA administrator (Ferenc Antalovits, ejournals@semmelweis.hu) to validate the central support.
