Springer Fully Gold and Taylor & Francis Open Access quotas are depleted

Dear Authors,

We kindly inform you that within the framework of the Springer Nature and Taylor & Francis agreements, the quotas that can be used for Open Access support in the publishers journals available in the EISZ consortium in 2025 have been depleted. In the case of Springer Nature, the quota exhaustion effects the Fully Gold Open Access journals, publication in the publisher's supported hybrid journals remains unchanged.

In the case of publications being submitted after 25 August 2025 and still accepted in 2025, only those published in SJR Q1-classified journal will receive OA support. (Of course, papers submitted before 25 August 2025 that meet the usual conditions will remain supported).

The list of supported journals (we suggest checking before submitting articles) has been updated and is available on the following page: https://lib.semmelweis.hu/open_access_tamogatas

In the case of publications accepted between the exhaustion of the quota and 31 December 2025, in contrast to the usual process, the corresponding author (or administrative author) receives a notification from the publisher regarding the exhaustion of the quota when the article is accepted, offering that they can withdraw the publication and submit it to another journal, or they finance it from other sources. In such a case, please contact our OA administrator (Ferenc Antalovits, ejournals@semmelweis.hu) to validate the central support.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
