Springer Fully Gold Open Access quota is depleted

Dear Authors,

We kindly inform you that within the framework of the Springer Nature Open Access agreement, the quota that can be used in fully Open Access (Fully Gold) journals available in the EISZ consortium in the year 2024 has been depleted.

In the case of publications submitted into one of the fully OA journals, after 5 September, 2024 and still accepted in 2024, only those published in the SJR Q1-classified journal will receive OA support. (Of course, papers submitted before 5 Septmber 2024 that meet the usual conditions will remain supported).

The list of supported journals (it is definitely worth checking before submitting articles) has been updated and is available on the following page: https://lib.semmelweis.hu/open_access_tamogatas

In the case of publications accepted between the exhaustion of the quota and 31 December 2024, in contrast to the usual process, the corresponding author (or administrative author) receives a notification from the publisher regarding the exhaustion of the quota when the article is accepted, offering, among other things, that they can withdraw the publication and submit it to another journal, or they finance it from other sources. In such a case, please contact our OA administrator (Ferenc Antalovits, ejournals@semmelweis.hu) to validate the central support.

Publication in the publisher's supported hybrid journals remains unchanged, it is not affected by the depletion of the Fully Gold quota.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
